The University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center's Family Practice Residency is a two-year AOA accredited program following internship and is approved for training nine (9) residents.

The program features a strong ambulatory component providing the resident with organized, progressive, primary responsibility for the care of patients in a family practice environment. This is accomplished through didactic and clinical experiences under the supervision of board certified family practitioners and specialists. Residents spend three half-days a week in an ambulatory family practice clinic following their own patients throughout the course of the residency.

Rotations are primarily done at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center with availability for subspecialty rotations to be done at University Hospitals Case Medical Center.

University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center is a member of the Lake Erie Consortium for Osteopathic Medical Training.
