The University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center's Internal Medicine Residency is
a three-year AOA accredited program, approved for training nine (9) residents.
The program features both traditional and fast-track programs in internal
medicine. The fast-track internship can decrease your training by one year.
Hands-on experience can be obtained with procedures such as endoscopies and central lines as well as ventilator management. The program prepares graduates
for subspecialty fellowship training as well as rewarding careers as hospitalists or ambulatory general internists. Trackers and residents spend one-half day a week
in an ambulatory medical clinic following their own patients throughout the course
of the residency.
Rotations are primarily done at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center,
with availability for subspecialty rotations to be done at University Hospitals
Case Medical Center.
University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center is a member of the Lake Erie Consortium for Osteopathic Medical Training.
