The University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center Internship is a one-year AOA accredited program, approved and funded for training 15 interns. Trainees can choose from Fast Track Internships in either Internal Medicine or Pediatrics as well as Traditional Rotating or Family Practice Emphasis Internships.
The internship program at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center is designed to provide a well-rounded foundation so that interns are ready to move on to their chosen field of medicine. Our interns have a broad range of clinical experiences in the management of patients with a wide spectrum of health problems. Outstanding opportunities for education are provided, incorporating both classroom and bedside training. At University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center, we pride ourselves on a tradition of strong morning and noon didactics. The program also features solid hospital based rotations, with the opportunity to complete rotations at University Hospitals Case Medical Center.
